Don Ramey Logan

CEO - Founder

Producer & Aerial Photographer FAA Pilot, SEL – MEL – UAS: Don Ramey Logan has been involved with film production all of his life.

Born in Hollywood CA, his minor rolls in feature films in the 1980’s that later inspired him become one of the founders of Digital video as we know it. Don is FAA part 61 Single & Multi engine airplane pilot and UAS (part 107) rated. His award winning aerial photography covers the Globe with his charitable contributions to the Wiki Foundation. Don has been producing aviation related content for over 20 years after his team created the H.26* codec, for Microsoft making him one of the Digital industry pioneers. Don today is the only pilot to hold  and maintain a FAA 107.41 Flight Authorizations for UAS operation in the KSNA as well as KLAS airspace.

Logan regularly flies for ZZYZX Films and aerial cinematographer Mark Jacobs, providing aerial services to You Tube Red, and Caesars Palace and has been authorized by the FAA to fly the Caesars Palace properties as well as the entire Vegas Strip.

In June, 2015, Logan’s most recent documentary project was being Lead Producer on Director Noah Berlow’s documentary of
RAAM 2015—The Race Across America— the world’s longest and most difficult cycling races.

Logan achieved success early in his life when his talent developing computer software placed him on the cutting edge of the digital age. A technological pioneer in interactive software and Microsoft’s “Streaming Media,” Logan contributed to the core fundamental code behind Microsoft “Video for Windows,” authoring the original interface components for companies like Adobe, Intel, Creative Labs, Sony, Autodesk, Media Vision, Silicon Graphics, Inc., and dozens of others. Logan produced one of the world’s first Interactive CD Rom’s with the San Francisco 49ers in 1996. He also went on to produce live streaming content for many of the companies listed above.

Logan has been flying for over 25 years and holds a Single and Multi Engine Land Airplane Pilot license. Currently working to finalize his Commercial rating, he flies as Second in Command in a “Pilatus PC 12” for a Jet Charter company located at John Wayne Airport. When he built a Lancair Legacy, he filmed two weeks of production during the process at the Lancair Factory as a project for consideration by the Discovery Networks.

As a pilot and aviation enthusiast, Logan brings a comprehensive knowledge of planes, aviation history and film production to the making of a documentary film. Logan has over 500 hours logged as pilot in command of a number of Aircraft types and UAS systems and has worked closely with the FAA for years to become one of the industries leading authorities on safe UAS/Drone operations.

Mike Kennedy

Mike Kennedy

Director of Operations - Partner

For the last 3 years Mike has been one of the stars of the Discovery Channel show, “Airplane Repo” making his name well known to a truly global audience. Comfortable jumping out of planes and handling pet Cobras, Mike has done it all in Aviation. FAA part 61 Commercial pilot and 107 UAS pilot, Mike is a certified Zoologist who also runs the Dragon Ranch a non profit that rescues exotic animals of all types and is currently producing a series on the terrible issues facing the endangered Rhino populations. Any one that know him will agree that he has a heart of gold.

“The scariest situation I have been in on the job was being face down on the tarmac with a rifle pressed against the back of my head while Colombian soldiers searched a King Air I had just stolen back from smugglers. I had no idea what might be onboard that airplane and the Colombians were convinced I was the smuggler,” Kennedy said.

His hobbies include performing motorcycling stunts, skydiving, weapons trading, extracting venom from snakes, catching crocodiles, and oh, by the way, he owns a leopard he calls Spot. He is as comfortable in a wingsuit as a businessman is in wingtip shoes. “I would like to be remembered as someone who didn’t want to miss out on anything,” Kennedy said. “If something interests me, I don’t want to watch someone else or read about it or see it on TV, I want to do it, and not only do it, but learn to do it well.”

With 20 years experience repossessing aircraft, Kennedy continues to add to his skill set.

He’s working on earning his helicopter rating. He is a certified ATP, with ratings that include ATP (Multi-engine land), and Commercial (Airplane single engine land, single engine sea). His type ratings include A/BA-3100, A/CE-560XL, A/EMB-120, A/HS-125, A/LR-60, and A/LR-JET.

He has become adept at wrangling customs paperwork, flight permits, and employing the art of stealth in recovering high-value aircraft from all parts of the world.

Noah Berlow

Noah Berlow

Director

He currently is a video director / producer for RollingStone.com and USmagazine.com in Los Angeles, Award-winning filmmaker Noah Berlow is a visionary storyteller who straddles two worlds: the world of entertainment and the world of documentaries that educate, raise consciousness, and help bring about social change. In his biggest success to date, Noah produced and edited a documentary on female genital mutilation (FGM) in Kurdistan entitled Our World: Dropping the Knife—Kurdistan. Partners in the project included two fearless young Kurdish filmmakers, producer John Chua, Hivos International, Amnesty International, the Guardian, and the BBC.

When the film was viewed by the Kurdish Parliament in late 2011 under the title Handful of Ash, the Parliament, with the support of Muslim clerics, responded by outlawing the practice of FGM. The clerics also issued a fatwa against the practice, declaring it “an injustice . . . a crime against women.” In October 2013, the film was broadcast to a potential audience of 30 million viewers on BBC Arabic Television, further impacting contemporary culture in the broader Muslim world. (A 16-minute web version can be viewed at the Guardian website.)

Noah continues his relationship with Ithaca College by supervising and mentoring film interns attending the program in Los Angeles, where he currently resides. Noah was chosen to edit the directors cut of the new God Smack video “Bulletproof” below.
